While other products often perform worse in animal production, we set a new standard for responsible consumption. This recognition confirms that our approach to regional, resource-efficient, and sustainable production is the right path.

What is the ECO-SCORE®? The ECO-SCORE® independently evaluates food products based on their environmental performance. Factors such as CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, water consumption, and biodiversity play a role. The rating system ranges from A (very environmentally friendly) to E (least environmentally friendly). With the top rating of A, LocalFish is not only one of the most sustainable suppliers in the fish industry – we outperform all meat products, which are often rated C or lower.

Why is this so important to us? As a company, we value transparency and responsibility. Our goal is not only to deliver the best quality fish, but also to enjoy it with a clear conscience. The ECO-SCORE® A award demonstrates that we keep our promise:

• Regional production: Our fish comes from sustainable Swiss aquaculture, significantly reducing the CO₂ footprint compared to imported fish.

• Feeds taken further: We optimize our feeds to reduce or completely replace the soy content. We are also strictly against bycatch.

• Short transport routes: Directly from the region to your kitchen without long transport routes or environmentally harmful air imports with questionable supply chains.
