We stand for change - The founding team
Localfish is the most technologically and commercially advanced RAS system in Switzerland.
After proving and establishing our concept, we are starting to expand in Zurich. The next phase of this growth is the financing of the construction in Rafz as a central element in our strategy.
The market for fresh fish in Switzerland will be worth 750 million Swiss francs in retail in 2022.
Of these, 97% are imported.
By 2027, the market will grow to 910 million and customers will increasingly want local products.
Localfish's technology is not just a system...it's a perfect ecosystem.
Some of our key elements as an ecological pioneer
99.5% of our water is recycled
We generate a large part of our energy ourselves
We produce 750 tons of natural fertilizer for the surrounding farms
Zero Waste - Swiss Premium Pet Food is Created
Localfish  schützt  Ressourcen - unter dem Gesichtspunkt der Umwelt gehören wir weltweit zu den  Besten
Our land consumption is 0.025 sqm per kilo
If we look at the land use for soya (4 sqm) and beef (30 sqm - 49 sqm) we are clearly the world champions in terms of efficiency!
Water for 1 kilo of fish is a whopping 1 liter of water
Soya requires 2,500 liters of water and beef requires an incredible 15,000 liters.
