We declare war on Pangasius with our new products!!
There is always talk about improving CO2 and the ecological footprint. Healthier food for people and the environment. But what is actually being done about it? We are taking action!
Pangasius is one of the most imported fish, even in Switzerland. "Fresh" from Vietnam or other places. Pangasius is a catfish and this is where we come in.
We are extremely proud to announce that we are producing another species of fish locally.
We breed Swiss catfish in the Eastern Switzerland region and will bring it to market towards the end of the year. This is a first and here too we are breaking new ground and swimming against the tide.
At this point we want to speak out in favor of the catfish, which is also called pangasius or catfish.
Unjustly suffering from a slightly tarnished reputation, he has not been able to develop his potential until now. Certainly not the prettiest, but an absolute heavyweight that delivers much more than it promises.
We therefore address the issue and clarify it!
- No aftertaste due to ideal breeding conditions -> This makes it a special delicacy
- No bones and white, juicy meat with a mild taste -> it even conquers top restaurants with a stroke of its fins (it has already been found in the Hotel Bürgenstock)
- Rich in healthy fats, vitamin B-12 and selenium, it is significantly better than other well-known fish
In addition, catfish provides a considerable amount of protein for daily needs. Just like salmon, but with far fewer calories and CO2 emissions due to local production. There are huge differences between Vietnam and Eastern Switzerland. And not just in taste.
The options for the future are limitless! Whether it's catfish mousse in a sandwich, fish fingers made from pure fillet or simply convenient food with catfish balls... This is just the beginning of this exciting story.
